LiveMeeting Conferencing also for Tech Support.

The best I've found to get to the numerous support calls that can inundate the day is to access computers remotely through the web. The number of clients that you or your organization may have will increase not decrease. So the number of small and large computer problems increases along with the customer base. Computer remote support software gives technicians and support specialists the opportunity to get to more problems quicker and easier. Computer remote support software has enabled my company to grow their customer base without having to add additional technicians to support them.

Since we access their computers remotely, we are able to get to more of the computer desktop and server support tickets within the same amount of time or less. 4RemoteSupport Software for desktop remote support has enabled our company to grow faster than before. We can access clients computers to get to their problems without them waiting for a technician to arrive on-site to address the location.

Microsoft LiveMeeting is one of the best tools available for both conferencing and for remote computer access to allow meeting online and for supporting our computer products with having to accrue the charges associated with actually going to a customer or prospective clients office to demonstrate a new product or solution.

LiveMeeting by Microsoft was a very good tool for conferencing and meeting. It was also very useful for remote support. Computer remote support was a secondary feature of the software but it was able to show the remote user's computer screen and share it. The remote user could share their desktop and also the presenter was able to remote control the remote computer. Computer remote support software like this is commonly found in conferencing software applications. Computer remote support software that enables remote control of the remote computer or even the local computer enables remote support. Remote support is enabled because the remote user can display their screen and share it . When the remote screen is shared is can be remote controlled. Some computer remote support software applications share and enable remote control by default. Other computer remote support software applications, online or local installation based applications require the user's permission or the user has to optionally enable remote control access. Most desktop screen-sharing applications that are used for computer remote support software enable remote screen-sharing automatically. This is commonly because the applications are intended for web based remote support or online remote support and enabling the remote control aspect or feature of the software reduces the time required to acquire that level of access. By reducing the time required to create a full remote computer control session, more time is available for troubleshooting and applying remote assistance. Computer remote support software for remote assistance enable remote technical help and assistance through the web online.

This web conferencing platform for online web based video conferencing was purchased then further developed but development has stopped if I am no mistaken. I didn't look up the application recently to double-check. It also had screen-sharing capabilities. that feature was used for remote support because of the availability of the remote computer. The remote computer would connect to the presenter or with the meeting presenter. Once the computers were connected, it was a natural progression or jump to providing remote support or remote assistance using this application. Online remote support web based remote support, and remote support software in general has often stemmed from conferencing software. After-all, conferencing software that has screen-sharing capabilities is a natural gateway to remote support. the goal for remote assistance software and online applications for remote control assistance for computer users online is to gain remote access of the remote computer. Full remote control access is best but many start with a "view only" mode. View only remote desktop screen-sharing is basically the viewing of the remote compute desktop or PC. This means the person sharing their screen is allowing only viewing access to the other person who is connect across the web. The software often will have an option to permit full access and is controlled by the remote computer users. They have to authorize or initiate the remote access. Another common method is the conferencing or screen sharing software gets connected through the web, then the person who is trying to provide remote assistance, remote support and remote help has to request remote control. The person who is sharing their computer then just has to approve the access. Commonly there is a message displayed on their screen which indicates the remote user, usually a person trying to provide remote assistance, is requesting remote control of the desktop.

I had used that software one time in the past when getting support from Microsoft Professional services. They used it as software for computer remote support. They connected to my server over the web and assisted me in getting a problem resolved. I don't remember clearly what the problem was but it was for an accounting firm that was having some issues with their document management software . They were trying to go to a paperless environment by scanning all their client files. I don't recall the software they were using. I had tracked the the software issue down to a Microsoft one because there was another part of their application that used Microsoft Excel,. The excel component used many macros to build an a book or sheet from multiple data sources. Microsoft used their software for remote support. They connected over the Internet. Although the software was for web conferencing, as stated in another comment, it was also capable of providing remote access for remote assistance over the web. They remote access the desktop computer and the server to look at the issue with excel and the data sources the macros were pulling information from. So they used the software for computer remote support through the web. They do not do onsite support and I suppose if they did it would be very expensive and would take long to setup and schedule. Conferencing software is often used in this manner. it is used for both its original intent of having online meetings. Since it is capable of remote screen-sharing, it is also used as software for PC remote support and web based computer support. The basic requirement of computer remote support software like web based computer support software is remote control. Desktop remote control is the most important feature of remote support software. Computer remote support over the web enables faster support and remote assistance.
The other problem with scanning turned out to be an Active Directory problem. the software was not using the right criteria for LDAP authentication against the domain controllers in the domain.
