System reliability often overshadows the goals of any embedded project. The RabbitSys kernel available now pre-loaded on the powerful RCM3365 RabbitSys core module, provides embedded systems designers the ability to update, monitor, configure, detect, diagnose, and even debug embedded systems from remote locations.

The most effective embedded system for remote management of systems I have seen has been from HP with their Insight and iLO remote server management. The second is from Dell with their server manager and DRAC technology. Although both of these technologies produced from Dell and HP started as add-on circuit boards, they eventually have become integrated like Rabbit Semiconductor into the main circuit boards of the servers. HP iLO and Dell DRAC as part of remote management include remote control of the servers. The remote control of the systems can be from a local network or from the remote web based connection. The remote control capabilities help technical support to address issues related to the server's functionality and configuration with having to be on-site remote control access of servers is similar to software for web based computer support. Software for web based computer support provides the capability for remote access to computer desktops through the web. Web based access using software for web based computer support permits technical support to gain remote access of computer desktops through the network. Web based network access can also be associated with other online support software such as software components often referred to an agents to connect to a management server. HP and Dell server don;t require software agents to be running for using iLO or DRAC technologies but services or API software add-on within the operating system enabled more detailed information for server health monitoring.
Web based software for computer support also permits management of servers , desktops, and servers as does embedded chip based technologies. The web site in the case of HP iLO and Dell DRAC is integrated on the semiconductors of the DRAC or HP iLO service boards. web based access for services for remote control access like 4RemoteSupport.com are from a web site web server for support. it is all support software and not circuit based. Web based access for computer support permits live support without physical access to the hardware.
